Secret
Santa -
Dec 2009
Now an
annual event at HATS, the group exchanged presents during
the last rehearsals of the year after picking a fellow
member's name out of a hat and then buying them a present
for under a fiver without revealing who it's from. There are
still some people exacting revenge on the presents they
received last year, obviously!

Xmas Karaoke Party -
Dec 2009
A HATS
favourite theme, we had another karaoke party this Christmas and
it was really well attended despite the freezing and snowy
conditions outside. Most of the girls dressed up in sparkles for
the occasion and we even had our own Santa Claus.

HATS 1st Annual Sports
Day - Aug 2009
The
HATS gang gathered at Ferry Meadows for the 1st Annual
Sports Day on the afternoon of Sunday 16th August,
which was lovely hot sunny weather. Everyone was asked to
bring a picnic and were organised into teams, names of
classic British sitcoms: Hi-Di-Hi, Man About The House, On
The Buses, The Goodies and The Liver Birds.
The prize at
stake was the coveted HATS Annual Sports Day Champions Trophy,
which was eventually won by Kev and Bones' team, Man About The
House. As well as the usual sports day games we had a fun game
of Rounders and a Tug Of War. Full winners are as follows:
Egg & Spoon, The Goodies. Sack Race, On The Buses. 3-Legged
Race, The Liver Birds. Sponge In A Bucket, Hi-De-Hi. Obstacle

Eurovision Night - May
2009
On
16th May HATS held a Eurovision sweepstake night. Guests were
invited to dress in costume representing their chosen country,
1st prize for Debbie (France). Andrew and Jane were winners of
the European quiz, and Mike and Zoe won the sweepstake
representing Iceland.
We had a
Eurovision wall of fame, a shrine to Terry Wogan, and attendees
brought a great spread of European food (thanks for the octopus,
Kev!) Cheesy Europop sounds were played well into the early
hours but no plates were smashed during an energetic dance of
Zorba the Greek! More

Treasure Hunt - March
2009
On
a nice Spring afternoon of Sunday 7 March a large crowd of
Hatters gathered at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre car park
for the 2nd HATS Treasure Hunt, organised by Kev.
We were
provided with directions and photo clues, a route which took
participants from Castor through Wansford, into the Northants
countryside and back out again to Hampton, ending at the Moorhen
pub where we all enjoyed a meal and a few drinks. Congrats to
Andrew and Jane, winners of the 2009 Treasure Hunt! More

Voiceover for Toles -
February 2009
HATS
were asked to provide a selection of actors to be the voices of
lawyers & clients for a law exam CD by Global
Legal English, the world's market leaders in legal English
examinations.
The recording
took place at Jigsaw
Studios in Frognal, near Market Deeping on
Mon 9th Feb, a fun day which was almost upstaged by recent heavy
snow in the area. Click
