The following
review for 'Holiday Confusion' was submitted by our NODA
Eastern Area rep John Seaman in the Spring 2006 edition
of 'NODA Eastern Area News':
"A first
performance by a new company in Region 4, very small in number but
with enormous enthusiasm. I was given a copy of their constitution
on my visit and it is an example to any amateur company to follow.
Based in the new Peterborough township of Hampton, the first
production choice of two One-Act plays was a good one.
In 'Burst Tyre', a
set of somewhat eccentric characters deny assistance to a lady in
distress. All the characters were well developed, particularly the
aged Greek trio (Greek accents well-maintained), and the unusual
Priest. To quote from the programme: "the play takes a very
funny look at the confusion that can be caused by communication
breakdown". Direction by Mark Cowdell.
In the second play
'Seaside Postcard', we saw a hilarious romp from a group of seaside
characters who all excelled in the 'Carry On' type chaos. This
really was first class entertainment, thoroughly enjoyed by myself
and a good band of NODA HQ personnel. This group has made a
magnificent start and I look forward to future visits".
